Having Anesthesia / Sedation for Dental Procedures:
It is common for many patients to feel nervous or anxious about their dental procedures. Dr. Elise Wong has advanced training in ways to help your child’s and/or your anxiety which may include medications to make you feel more comfortable. By having a more relaxed patient Dr Wong may be able to complete more of your dentistry in one appointment. On other cases, a more relaxed patient may be safer for them as well as being more relaxed. |
Sleep Dentistry (deep sedation and General Anaesthesia) is a solution for:
The very young child with extensive dental disease who are pre-cooperative for needed dental treatment. |
The extremely fearful, anxious, or uncommunicative patients. |
Patients with medical illness requiring monitored care to facility dental treatment. E.g. Autistic spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s disease) etc… |
Patients with strong gag reflex prohibiting safe dental treatment in a normal setting. |
And the list continues
depending on specific patient's need. |
